TRIP TO SEMPORNA - THIRD DAY

Alhamdulillah, the weather is so good today and we managed to hike in the Bohey Dulang Island.  This island is very famous for the magnificent view at the top of the peak.  Personally, I think the picture will be awesome if we use drone. The hikers will be presented with majestic view after climb along a 600m trail.  I felt extremely tired due to my laziness in work out.  As we reached in the island, there are many tourists already started their hike and please comes early, otherwise, it will be flooded with tourists. Shamir accompanied us to the top of Bohey Dulang and since he regularly hiking here, this is considers as a small piece of cake for him.

One thing I aware with Sabah people, they really like to help people.  If you rejected their help, they will feel insulted. One moment that I still remember when Peeqa reached her hand to help one China lady where both f her hands full with things.  The lady simply rejected, "ooh I'm OK".  All the Sabahan guides whispered, "sombong punya orang, mahu tolong pun x mahu".  There are another occasions that like this happened during the hiking.

p/s:  Please bring water, sport shoes and fit bar.

Temporary rest..

Then, we went to Mataking Island which famous with their white sand and top world class resort.  There are two island i.e Mataking Besar and Mataking Kecil, however, since these two islands had been bought, we enter on it as it is considers as private island.  I opined that Mataking island is the most beautiful island that I went and this is the place that I will consider for honeymoon.  Due to the water is low, thus, we can see the coral reefs clearly.  We had our lunch here and been accompanied by Jacky, dog who guards the Island.

Here, we tried to swim without life jacket which has been guarded by our own boatman and Shamir.  Our boatman stated that it is better to swim without your life jacket i.e to build your own confidence.  I still remember the question asked by our boatman, "where is your boyfriend and why don't your bring him?, I simply answered, "aah menyemak jer bang kalau bawa diaorang".  He just laughed out loud with my spontaneous answer.

At the third island i.e Timba - Timba Island, my leg became numb and I felt really tired.  We just snorkeled here for about 30 minutes.  Timba - Timba Island is not really famous island but personally I think it is beautiful island with the long and white sandy beach. Nevertheless, we our boat can't approached near to the beach due to low tide.  We found also coral reef snake, however, we are unable to snap the picture.

After we arrived at Semporna, we took another boat to Mabul Island.  We stayed at Mabul Backpackers.  Why we come back again?  I think my best friend has the answer..

*Mabul Backapackers*

It's been a week but I still cant move on from this place.  This is my second visit here.  When I got there for the 1st time,  I was wondering how to stay at wooden room with salty smell (smell of the sea, a nice smell actually and I miss it).  It's not just that, the tap water also little bit salty and I have to brush my teeth with it.  This is good for those who have mouth ulcers tho.

However, I believe the quote which saying that "first impressions are always unreliable".  Despite of the above mentioned, what make me come back here again are their hospitality at any time, serenity environment, a room facing the sea, relaxing sound of waves, coral reefs & vibrant colored fish, friendly staffs & dive master and lastly the gig.

They offer quality over quantity and experience over the money.  This is the place where you can actually allowed yourselves to sit still for once and enjoy the view.  I fall in love with this place and will come back again.
