TRIP TO GOPENG

I fall in love with Gopeng!

I never knew that Gopeng is the best place to try all sort activities i.e from hiking to water rafting.  We departed from Shah Alam after Subuh and managed to arrive at Gopeng's toll around at 8.am.  As we arrived there, the crew of Riverbug greeted us with warm smile and escorted us to the camp which is situated at Kampung Jahang. It was first experience by Riverbug to handle the group that only consists of two people.  Usually people coming with big group or at least four people.  We gathered five people for this trip, however, due to certain circumstances, only two people available at the very last minute.  Personally, I don't mind because it is an opportunity for me to mingle with other people.

After we placed our stuffs at the office, we  have been told to ride pick up lorry.  This is totally excited as we can experience the beauty of Kampung Jahang by this ride. We have been hit by palm fronds several times if we are standing on the lorry and the butt will be totally hurt when you are sitting. Aiyaaak...

Our first activity was waterfall abseiling at Ulu Geruntum where you will descent off from the top using a rope.  A proper safety and footwear should be keep on.  Our instructor briefed us us some tipis, methods and safety to do waterfall abseiling, the most important is your confidence.  As it was slippery, I stumbled a few times and luckily no injury happened.  I'm so happy because I can conquered my fear of heights and the best part was to feel the coldness of the river.

Peeqa at the top..

Now, coming to the main menu or the most awaited activity for us i.e water rafting.  Since we only have two people, we have to join another group which consisted 6 people including our instructor, Glenn.  Prior of activity, the instructor will brief on the safety and instructions when ride on raft.  That was so cool, awesome and hard to explain.  The photographer very professional to capture the right moment and angle.  Let the pictures speak for themselves.

Riverbug provided us with a nice buffet lunch and dinner.  Right after dinner, we went night walking with one of the staffs at the area of the camp.  It was so exciting as we can breath the fresh air and to hear the sound of insects and etc.

Muka x mandi..
Wish I can build a house nearby the river..
Lepak while waiting for breakfast..

After we had a nice breakfast, we went for caving at Gua Kandu.  They named it the cave as Kandu due to a sad story about Gua Kandu where there is one boy named Kandu had lost in this cave a long time ago.  Is it a real story?? I dont think so...huuu.  Anyway, there are several equipments that we must have to caving here such as mineral water, headlamp, proper attire and mask.  I've forgot my mask and likely I can use my shawl as a mask.  The cave is so beautiful and magnificent, however,  it is too dark and we cant get a proper pictures.

With Jasri..
