TRIP TO PERHENTIAN ISLAND - SECOND DAY

We started our journey by breakfast at Hani's house where her mom prepared very delicious nasi goreng petai.  It took us around two hours from Kota Bharu to Kuala Besut Jetty via van.  We had chartered one van for that purpose.  As soon as we reached the Jetty, the boatmen already waited for us and we have to pay marine park fee to go to Perhentian Island.

Point to note that if we ride the boat, the boat operators must prepare life jacket according to the capacity.  Anything might happened during the journey and it is better to wear even though you know how to swim.

Wan mata steam..

It took us 30 to 40 minutes to reach Perhentian Island and luckily none of us having seasickness.  When we arrived at the Island, we are very stunned with the beauty of Perhentian Island.  As we have tight budget, we stay at low cost room called as MJ which is situated at Pulau Perhentian Kecil.

After checked in, we had our lunch at room.  Thanks to Hani's mom that prepared all the meals for us and we just made a hot tea and coffee which gave by the MJ's owner.  Then, we planned to lepak2 at the beach and coincidentally, we got to play with baby turtle.  Aaargh, so cute!.

Since we are very boring, some of the villagers suggested us to tour the Island.  According to them, it will take 2 hours (according to stamina) and there are trail that has been prepared.  I will say that the trail was really challenging as we have to hike, jungle trekking and walked beside the beach.  Some of us already tired because we are lacked with stamina. As we walked, we found several nice chalets or resorts along the beach.

After several pit stops, one of the owners of resort advised us to return back as we cant make it to circle the Island until maghrib and just did sea bathed at the village.

We had dinner after Isya' at MJ Cafe and I still remember clearly that most of us like sambal belacan made by them.  Perghh, berapi! Even though the price a bit expensive but it came with big portion and fresh seafood.  Totally worth it.  No activity after dinner as we feel very tired and the exciting activities waiting for us tomorrow.
