Masjid Tanah dan Sungai Petani Bersatu


Pertama sekali ingin mengucapkan tahniah kepada sepupuku, Abdul Hakim dan Ain di atas perkahwinan mereka.  Saya bagi ucapan standard, "semoga bahagia hingga ke syurga".  Bila menyebut tentang perkahwinan, banyak perkara yang akan muncul dalam fikiran, yang paling berat sekali ialah tanggungjawab seorang suami terhadap isteri. 

For me, marriage is a relationship between two families where in this case, it ties Masjid Tanah and Sungai Petani. Disebabkan perkahwinan, dengan sekelip mata kami sudah ada saudara di Sungai Petani.  Rombongan Cik Kiah berlepas dari Melaka ke Sungai Petani, tiba di pertengahan jalan, mereka tersadai kat tepi lebuhraya kerana bas rosak.  Hurrmm, Alhamdulillah semua selamat sampai tepat pada waktu untuk melihat mereka bernikah.

Nasib baik saya bukan sebahagian daripada rombongan Cik Kiah, jadi, sempat berjalan dan makan seafood di Tanjung Dawai.  Terdapat banyak restoran tetapi saya tak tahu yang mana yang paling sedap. Saya sekeluarga menginap di Hotel Sungai Petani Inn yang harganya agak munasabah dan ia berdekatan juga dengan Masjid berlangsungnya pernikahan.

Selepas majlis akad nikah berlangsung, kami dijemput ke rumah pengantin perempuan untuk majlis ringan terlebih dahulu sebelum pergi ke dewan untuk majlis resepsi. Di rumah pengantin perempuan berlangsungnya majlis pertukaran dulang hantaran.  Banyak juga makanan yang dihidangkan oleh tuan rumah, Alhamdulillah rezeki.

Di sebelah Melaka pula, segala persiapan D.I.Y sahaja tapi yang paling saya suka ada persembahan silat dan cak lempong oleh pelajar sekolah rendah Busu Daud.  Masa ini lagi meriah disebabkan semua sepupu dapat datang dan kami juga booking bilik di Umang - Umang Chalet di Kuala Linggi.  Habis sahaja majlis di kampung Melaka, masing - masing sudah tak sabar untuk mandi laut.  Tak kisahlah yang penting kita bahagiakan. 

Alang - alang sudah bercerita pasal Umang - Umang Chalet ini tempatnya cantik tapi jalan hendak masuk ke chalet itu tidak bertar.  Jalan masih lagi berbatu - batu, jadi untuk pergi ke sana, sila pastikan tayar kenderaan tidak botak.
